Fun atmosphere good service great fajitas
What's not to love? Neighborhood Tex Mex place with fresh salsa, a family atmosphere, fair prices and great Happy hour. Mariachis play on Fridays and Sundays.
Well, this is just the cutest place. Excellent chips and salsa. We had fajitas, enchiladas, and both were excellent. I would arrive early, on a weekend night. There was even a mariachi band. It was right in the neighborhood so we were able to walk. The deep fried ice cream was wonderful.
Delicious!! Great service. Clean place! Will be back.
Food looked good but didn't have much flavor and was just OK. Place was busy and very loud with the Mariachi band which apparently plays Friday and Sunday night. Service was decent but not very friendly. There was a little parking although it was all full so we had to park in the lot next door.
Their salsa is amazing. It's a little loud, but the good and service is great.
Tex-mex with a live mariachi band. I’ve been only once, so I can’t say the mariachis are always there. The food however was delicious and fresh. This place has been here for decades, so I’m pretty sure the food here is always good. The fajitas were on point!
Great meals at reasonable prices. While most drinks are $8+, they have $4 domestic beers. Friendly staff and a great experience each time I've been here!
As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of Tex-mex establishments I generally look at three things: tortilla chips, margs, service, and overall vibes. El Paso has freshly made tortilla chips, delicious salsa, plenty of menu options (including freshly made pupusas!), great margaritas, and friendly staff. No complaints here!
They had a mariachi band sing me Happy Birthday and gave me free fried ice cream. I enjoyed the food, atmosphere and their hospitality. ☺️
The service is super fast 5/5, the food good, rate it 4/5. The drinks are 3/5. The complimentary chips and salsa are 6 out of 5 tho
Good TexMex for an east coast resturant.
My family has been coming here for as long as I can remember. Such a fun laidback atmosphere and everyone is so kind. Great classic Tex Mex food. Nothing super fancy but it is SO satisfyingly wonderful.
Fantastic food, although the venue is ill equipped for dinner rush.Reservations are a must. Not for those who are claustrophobic.
Excellent food. It's a Mexican restaurant so you kind of know what you're getting but everything was just a little better than expected. The chips and salsa were freshly made and spicy and flavorful without being overwhelming. It was thinner than i would normally expect but no complaints. We both got beef... the fajitas and the El Paso Burrito. The beef was tender exceptionally well seasoned and flavorful (as beef) even in it's own right. It all came out hot and fresh and just a notch better than expected. The El Paso flan was good, light, generously proportioned, uniquely flavored and got me full to bursting. My wife had sense enough to take half of her meal home with us. The service was a little slow but not unreasonable given a big crowd on a Saturday night. The waitress herself was kind and efficient, and generous (and spot on) with her suggestions.Parking was surprisingly manageable. All in all, a great experience from beginning to end.
Yummy food ! I recommend coming here. Complimentary chips and salsa. Family friendly, nice and clean restrooms and well as dining area.
Pretty good portion size for the tacos. Two filled me up. Price was around $11. Quick service for a carry out was a bonus.
Legit border region Mexican food.
Great food and atmosphere
We really like this place. Good food. Good service. Clean. The salsa is great!
Good guava margarita.
Went Xmas Eve very busy but good food and service
The food and service at this restaurant is excellent! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
They offer a vast range of fresh food. I like dining here. The employees are always friendly, pricing is affordable and the place is always well organised.
Visited w/my moms coworkers & friends to celebrate a birthday. We had fun and really enjoyed ourselves. The service was really good. Our server was always available and everyone received exactly what they ordered. We didn't have any issues and the reservation was kept and we were immediately seated upon arrival. Enjoyed the environment and live music from the mariachi band.
Excellent Tex-Mex and El Salvadorian restaurant nestled in the heart of Arlington, VA. Quaint, family-friendly atmosphere with friendly waiters and staff. Smoke free facility with a full service bar. Two televisions with local sports and Fotbol (American Soccer) on gamedays and Mexican/El Salvadoran/Spanish music playing in the background for ambiance. Food is well cooked by expert chefs. This restaurant is a staple in my family and welcomes walk-ins for takeout as well as dining in. No reservations needed (but may get crowded during peak dinner hours).
Amazing. Had the BBQ chicken quesadilla. The Mexican rice and black beans were great. Highly recommend and going back!
Quaint Restaurant that serves Mexican styled foods. Portions are large, and at a good price for what you get. Tortilla chips and salsa are bottomless as well as free. I've had the enchiladas and quesadillas that were both really good. The staff is very friendly. This place has more of a family styled atmosphere. Drinks are good and reasonably priced. Margaritas are delicious. They've also got happy hour food and drinks. On Friday evenings there's a live Mariachi band that comes around all of the tables.
Great decor, chips and salsa are an excellent snack while waiting for your main meal. Great for a longer lunch with friends from work
Great service and good food!
Best Tex Mex I have had since moving to the DC area. Hole in the wall place with alot of character. Would highly recommend if craving Tex mex while in DC.
I have ordered from these guys quite a few times through UberEats. The food is usually good, except every single time I order, they always forget the drinks. Today, the “fried” chimichanga wasn’t fried, it was grease-soaked and inedible
This Restaurant is an institution with some of the BEST Tex-Mex cuisine north of the Rio Grande. Their handcrafted Margaritas are unsurpassed in the DC Metro Area ! The Texan Margarita is my favorite variant in a wide array of flavorable variations on the Margarita theme. If you are looking for something different, I would recommend the Goat Cheese Enchiladas. Shredded Chicken Enchilada with Goat Cheeses covered in a fresh tomatoes sauce. This is a real crowd pleaser along with a Sopapilla for dessert!
I ordered the Fajitas and all that came on the plate was steak strips, one strip of green pepper, and a few strips of onions. I had to add the pico, guac, and sour creme to make something out of it. And then to add insult to injury, it was almost $20 plus tip. There is very little parking.
Just ordered the tacos al carbon lunch special. Took ten mins. Great food. Friendly service. Easy with Covid. Included free chips.
Terrific local place. Been serving Mexican food for more than 25 years.
Very kid friendly! Whole family loved the mariachi band.
My favorite Mexican restaurant in the DMV....excellent entrees, drinks, the best chips and salsa, and wonderful staff! I look forward to their turkey enchiladas around Thanksgiving!
I have been going here for 20 years. Hands down the best Tex-Mex food in the DC area.
We had excellent service by Arnoldo. Our meal was the 'super fajitas'. The fajitas were great. Meals that were observed being delivered to other tables looked and smelled delicious.
The service here is absolutely wonderful! Everyone is super nice and patient! We were celebrating my uncle's 89th birthday and thus had two seniors with us and the staff was great with them. I also appreciated that they let me bring an outside cake so we could celebrate with it after our dinner. I will certainly visit them again!A year later and we are back to celebrate the 90th birthday! Serv and food was just as exceptional as last year!
Food was better than average. good prices. A bit sad and depressing atmosphere. Waiter was polite but looked like he would rather be somewhere else.
This place has a really nice atmosphere. The food is very fast to be made so if you are on a time crunch this is a good place. I love the burritos, so much food I can barely finish one. Good stuff!
We have not been in awhile, but thought of El Paso because they had covered outdoor seating. The food and service was fantastic. I love the chips and salsa, very fresh. The protein was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. We'll be back soon!
The best tex mex I've had in NoVa
Unsure if this restaurant is affiliated with Springfield, VA "El Paso" but it clearly was not on par with that restaurant which clearly cooks their food on another level. Mediocre seasoning is hidden by excess cheese like a lot of Tex-Mex places around here and the $20 seafood dish I ordered was fairly lackluster. The salsa, however was smokey and may have been the best I've had.
Great food, great staff, and great atmosphere! My favorite Mexican restaurant!
The staff are attentive and efficient. My experiences at this establishment have been pleasant. I'd only suggest that if there to be Hard Tacos they should be placed in serving that would insure that they be Hard Tacos when served. I'll still frequent this Cafe. I just dont like WET BREAD..LOL.
Our go-to local spot for solid Tex Mex food with friendly staff. We've been getting takeout regularly during COVID and love the chips and salsa that they include.
